Johnnie’s Pit Beef & BBQ - Sundays Only

Former Swine and Yardbird chef is hosting a Maryland pit beef barbecue, only on Sundays, in Coconut Grove.

Chef Phillip Bryant's culinary style draws inspiration from his Southern upbringing and experience, having working with chefs such as Norman Van Aken and Jeff McInnis. Bryant was also the creater of the Swine burger, which won the South Beach Wine & Food Festival's Burger Bash last year, and still served in Ad Lib - in the old Swine locale.

At this pop-up (taking place at Taurus Beer & Whisk(e)y House in Coconut Grove), expect an introduction to the Maryland pit barbecue - with lightly seasoned meats grilled in a pit style on an open grill and served thinly on sandwiches. Signature dishes, include: sandwiches like The Ronnie (Johnnie sauce, aged Swiss and sprouts); Beef N Cheddar (with white onion and pickled horseradish) and The Original (Johnnie sauce, white onion, horsey mayo). Open on Sundays only, from noon.
