A multi-sensory presentation of Yayoi Kusama’s profound connection with nature, taking over the New York Botanical Garden.

Considered to be ‘one of the most influential artists of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries,’ at 90 years old, she is also the world’s top-selling living female artist and become known for the popular (and highly-Instagrammable) installations. This latest exhibit focuses on Kusama's engagement with nature, and in particular, through the lens of the changing seasons from spring to fall.

Cosmic Nature is spread out throughout the 250-acre garden grounds of the NYBG, with rows of trees wrapped in red polka-dotted fabric leading the way between installations. Expect works from throughout her career and multi-faceted practice, alongside new immersive installations and sculptures created by the artist including a site-specific pumpkin sculpture and her first-ever participatory greenhouse installation and a new Infinity Room which responds to changes in natural lighting conditions.
