Bord för En

A one-table, one-person restaurant, located in the middle of a meadow, in the beautiful county of Värmland in Sweden.

Bord för En (which means “table for one”) has no wait staff; instead, a three-course, drink-paired vegetarian meal is delivered to the table via a basket strung up from the nearby kitchen window.

The three-course menu - which can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch and dinner - focuses on seasonal, locally grown produce and changes on a day-to-day basis, with dishes such as: Råraka, a Swedish-style hashbrown; a main dish of sweet corn croquettes and serpent root ash; and a dessert made with blueberries, iced buttermilk and viola sugar.

Accompanying drinks have been curated by Joel Söderbäck, founder of Linje Tio (now called Tjoget), which made the 2019 World's 50 Best Bars list. The price for the experience - only one reservation available per day - follows a pay-what-you-can model.
