The Beatrice Inn has been famed as a celebrity destination since the Prohibition era. Angie Mar has maintained the restaurant as a top NYC dining spot - at 285 West 12th Street, at the corner of West 4th Street - seducing her guests with iconic show-stopping, bold and unapologetic dishes. Her style and method in the kitchen which she dubs in her book, Butcher & Beast, as “gritty, ugly, gutsy” are what have famously awarded her prominent accelades.
The 'meat-forward clubhouse' and 'ode to the great French restaurants and brasseries of eras past' is to re-open next door - as 'Les Trois Chevaux' in a space formerly occupied by upscale farm-to-table spot Blenheim. Expect a somewhat less meat-centric menu with more of a focus on game birds, crustaceans and wood-fired French cuisine.
