Roji

A 10-seater Japanese restaurant serving an omakase-style tasting menu.

The intimate counter-style restaurant - called Roji, which translates as journey or path, but can also mean hidden alley. Found tucked away on South Molton Street in Mayfair and will serve up a seasonal menu of sushi, pickled and preserved dishes, alongside charcoal-grilled dishes, with a focus on British produce.

A joint venture between chefs (and husband and wife) Tamas Naszai (Sake No Hana) and Tomoko Hasegawa (L’Abysse au Pavillon Ledoyen in Paris, and Ginza Shimon in Tokyo) and Saga Japanese Restaurant Group, who are behind Chisou and Sushi Atelier. Expect a “hyper-seasonal” omakase menu featuring traditional and innovative Japanese cuisine, made with local ingredients from within the British Isles.
