Salvation Burger

From Spotted Pig duo Ken Friedman and April Bloomfield in Midtown East, a wood-fired burger restaurant ensconced within the Pod 51 hotel.

After 6 months of watching April Bloomfield posting ridiculous pictures of dripping cheeseburgers on golden brioche buns Salvation Burger finally opened in Pod 51. Building on what was already available at the incredible gastro pub the Spotted Pig, they obviously make everything in house from grinding the meat, pickles, condiments, and of course, the buns.  They've really upped their game for desserts as well, so take a look at the pie list for some mouth watering options. Open from 12noon till 2am, it's an all day affair.

Bloomfield and Friedman - the pair also behind The Ace's Breslin restaurant - already own Salvation Taco inside Pod 39 - the company's other hip budget Midtown hotel - so the launch of Salvation Burger in Pod 51 is a natural next step.
