Citrin & Mélisse by Josiah Citrin

A split-personality restaurant comprising two separate dining concepts under one roof, from one of Los Angeles' most celebrated chefs.

Josiah Citrin’s iconic Santa Monica (former two-Michelin starred restaurant) debuts a new redesign and re-concept for its 20th anniversary, featuring two separate spaces: Melisse, a 14-seat tasting menu-only room, and Citrin, a larger dining room serving approachable 'California progressive' cuisine.

The majority of the old Mélisse dining room is the new Citrin, with booths along the walls and tables in the center. The revised and highly-acclaimed Mélisse is a now a dimly lit, studio-apartment-sized space with a dining room that faces a chef’s counter and open kitchen. Mélisse is open Tuesday through Saturday evenings whereas Citrin is open daily from 5:30pm.
