There is something about old muscle cars that makes everyone - car affascinato or otherwise - to utter a brief sigh and look on in wonder. To get a proper overdose of some of the most beautiful cars that ever graced the roads, head towards the old Caesar’s Bay Bazaar parking lot on Fridays around dusk where the metallic dinosaurs of pavements past come out to play - or at least be gawked at.
This once a week reunion isn't a trade show; it's barely an official meetup of any kind actually. It's more a gathering of people who truly appreciate a time when cars were majestic bodies, rather than just the modes of transport they usually are today. For these few hours, generally starting around 7 pm, owners come out of the woodwork of New York and beyond to gather, showcase and to appreciate.
Although no one really knows the origins of the show, for decades this former R&S Strauss Store parking lot has seen every shape, colour, and vintage roll through from Oldsmobile 442's to Dodge Challenger R/T's, Chevy Impala's to Chevy Chevelle, and so much more.
Drooling over figures of beauty from another age of machinery
