Video Revival

Founded by friends who wanted to have a place to watch cool films, this micro non-profit film house is filled with unusual content and a aim to give back.

Wanting to see an art house flick in Crown Heights? Look no further than Video Revival, a non-profit film center located on Rogers Ave. Started by a group of film-obsessed friends, this one screen space houses 25 seats for an intimate setting that is purely about bringing interesting films to the neighborhood.

Tickets fall in the $8 range, with multiple showings every evening, as well as family friendly matinées on Sunday's which cost an easy $5. Most of the programming is quite experimental, with documentaries, animation, contemporary films and art projects rounding out the schedule.

Trying not to be just another hipster injection to a quickly gentrifying area, the founders are working with nearby business and residents to actively support and give back without any real plans to try and turn a profit. The entire organization is volunteer run, so if you fancy getting involved, be sure to get in touch.
