Lucas Museum

Los Angeles will be home to George Lucas' $1-billion Museum of Narrative Art

Lucas’ museum will showcase his life’s work and personal collection of fine and popular art, including ephemera related to his “Star Wars” franchise. All this will fill a futuristic-looking new museum planned for L.A.’s Exposition Park.

Designed by Ma Yansong, MAD Architects in Beijing, China, the museum will feature up to 100,000 sq ft of gallery space, as well seven acres of green space outside.

The Lucas Museum will feature a bold new architectural design, and will be a one-of-a-kind gathering place to experience collections, films and exhibitions dedicated to the power of visual storytelling and the evolution of art and moving images.

The museum will present original work by world renowned and emerging artists, cutting-edge digital technologies, and daily film screenings in state-of-the-art theaters, as well as extraordinary educational opportunities for students of all ages.
