Din Tai Fung

A London outpost of the famous Chinese restaurant with its signature xiao long bao.

Din Tai Fung is a restaurant originating in Taiwan (since 1974) and famous (and very much loved) for their signature xiao long baos (steamed pork dumplings) - and their 18 intricate precise folds - as well as their heart-warming steamed chicken soup - and is actually named after the failed cooking-oil business which started the business.

This authentic Taiwanese restaurant has been making waves with branches throughout the world, including outposts in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, the USA, Thailand and Dubai and has an established reputation globally and been highly praised by the media including being selected as one of the top ten restaurants in the world by The New York Times.

The Covent Garden branch (spanning two levels) is the group's first European outpost (with 250 covers), with another expected in Tottenham Court Road’s Centre Point development. Expect a modern setting decked out in earthy tones and with the show kitchen taking centre stage.
