Everyone knows that New Orleans is a genuine original. And most who have been there, crave that authentic experience. Sassafras recreates a dark corner of the French Quarter: the interior (an aged Georgia townhouse) was imported directly from the American South, although now it’s on Vine Street, on the southern edge of Hollywood. The look is vintage saloon, with antiques and comfortable brocade-topped chairs throughout; the private ‘living’ room is separated by worn shutters.

Sassafras has an agenda for 2017: Tuesdays will now be known as 'Fat Tuesdays', recreating Mardi Gras every week with Bourbon Street cocktails, live music and more. 'Red Light District Wednesdays' bring a sultry evening of burlesque and blues. 'Friday Jr.' sets the stage for a weekly rock ’n’ roll karaoke competition, along with specials on whiskey shots and draft beers. Dance the night away on Fridays and Saturdays with DJs, bands and a dance party and enjoy tasty new cocktails all along the way like the Vine Street Shandy with Kin white whiskey, Amaro Montenegro, ginger, lemon and egg white.
