The third outpost of Midcourse Hospitality Group’s breezy coastal European-influenced restaurant is now open in Silver Lake.

"Maré is inspired by a European city by the coast; a little getaway to relax and share good food with good company," says executive chef Eric Greenspan. Jim Hustead has designed the lush and airy space, complete with large open windows and accents of plants and candles. The inviting interior features low lighting at night, with casual-yet-intimate two-tops, and a wraparound bar with chandeliers overhead.

The menu is inspired by the flavors of Portugal and Greece, with plenty of vegetable and seafood dishes. Don’t miss the whole branzino with fig-pomegranate glaze. Other additions include an extended wine by the glass program and late-night hours until 2 a.m. Thursday through to Saturday. Weekend brunch and happy hour are due to come soon.

Choose your shellfish - clams, black mussels, or shrimp - served with your choice of broth - leek and white wine, tomato fennel, basil pistou, 
spicy sausage romesco, or vadouvan curry & green apple; skirt steak oregano chimichurri and sea urchin butter; chocolate chili crepe with Nutella and coffee whipped cream. Plus rotating specials like bouillabaisse croquettes, Greek yogurt and pistachio arancini and grilled focaccia with chorizo and leek fondue.
