Yo! Sushi

Already a household name in Europe, the British sushi company is finally coming to New York with their cheery conveyer belt service.

Another British chain is making its way across the pond. Yo! Sushi, which first opened in London in 1997, is a classic sight in many cities across Europe, however, they are only just starting out in the US. Known for their conveyor belt method of serving, these sushi restaurants are bright, cheery and affordable.

It's a great option for people who are in a rush as the food literally comes straight to you as soon as you sit down. The plates are all brightly coloured denoting how much they are and allowing for easy budgeting on the fly. This new location will have sushi, sashimi, hand rolls and up to 80 other Japanese dishes on rotation. Whilst many of these dishes will be classics, both at their other locations and in Japanese food in general, there will be a few exclusives for the first New York restaurant created by the executive chef, Mike Lewis.

Whilst this concept of fast food service has been done before in New York, none have lasted very long. It will be interesting to see if this will break the mould and be a hit.
