Imad’s Syrian Kitchen

A restaurant set up by Imad Alarnab, a Syrian chef and refugee living in London, serving up some of Syria’s favourite dishes.

Back in Damascus, Imad enjoyed cooking for hundreds of people a night. But, he lost his restaurants in the war and was forced to flee. Now living in London, Imad is once again bringing people together to enjoy some of his favourite recipes. His famous falafel is a staple in his selection of meze as well as dishes such as Fattet Macdous, crispy baby aubergine stuffed with lamb, topped with crunchy flatbread and a garlic cumin sauce and Hamsit Lahem, slow cooked marinated lamb shoulder; Anginaar, roasted artichoke, stuffed with vegetables. A concise wine list of lower intervention wines from Eastern Europe and the Levant complements the Syrian menu.
