Quo Vadis x Chishuru

The supper sees Jeremy Lee joined by Adejoké Bakare, chef-owner of cult Brixton restaurant Chishuru.

Until recently, the Nigerian-born chef Adejoké 'Joké' Bakare was still, technically, a home cook. For years she had hosted dinner parties and supper clubs but had not realized her dream of opening her own restaurant. In August 2020, she finally launched Chishuru, a West African restaurant in Brixton - inspired by the food of Nigeria and the wider region. Since then, Joké’s cooking has achieved a cult following.

Expect a four-course menu of contemporary West African food with a foundation of age-old recipes and techniques. The event is being held in the 2nd floor Quo Vadis ‘Marx’ private dining room, the connected Blue Room and the first floor Club Restaurant - with long, family-style dining tables. After dinner, guests are welcome to move down into the QV Club for the evening to continue the fun. Tickets are priced at £60.
