Mama Lion

Koreatown’s glitzy supper club teams plush surroundings with upscale menus.

Located on the corner of Western Avenue and 6th Street, Mama Lion comes from celebrated chef Michael Hung (Viviane, Faith & Flower). Here he is making a serious statement with stunning, high-concept interiors and an impressive, elevated menu that ranges from seared foie gras and caviar to uni tostadas and apricot soufflés. The list of craft cocktails comes curtsey of Aiden Demarest, a seasoned mixologiest who has worked at Spare Room and Seven Grand.

Interiors, developed by West Coast design firm, Kelly Architects, whose prior projects include Hinoki and the Bird and Clifton's Cafeteria, feature industrial-style exposed beams, brick walls, glimmering chandeliers, sumptuous leather seating, and mixed metal design details.  If U are looking for a swanky, laid-back restaurant for lounging with a cocktail in hand, this is the place for U.
