Nine Lives

The founders of award winning Sweet&Chilli drinks bring U this cocktail bar with a waste-nothing ethos.

Set in a Victorian basement close to London Bridge, Nine Lives brings some cocktail culture to the foodie district of Bermondsey Street. The name Nine Lives refers to an ethos of salvation: recipes are reinvented from past favourites, ingredients are repurposed to reduce waste, the embroidered staff uniforms have been discovered in London’s best vintage shops and even the sound system is re-purposed event industry hardware. The intention here is to drive a positive and sustainable movement within cocktail culture.

The bar menu is curated by owner Tom Soden: Shorts, Talls, Tarts, Lowriders & Loops (drinks that reuse key ingredients and give them a new lease of life) and the interior includes picture hanging plants, woven lamp shades, marbled fascias, copper bar surfaces and shuffleboard in the games room, all brought together by an eclectic soundtrack of all genres.

Open Monday - Saturday from 5pm until late.
