Emily

Husband and wife team Matt and Emily Hyland have brought their popular pizza spot to Manhattan.

The duo first opened Emily in Clinton Hill and Emmy Squared in Williamsburg, serving up Detroit-style pizza, which soon endeared the masses. Now they’ve landed in Manhattan, with the opening of their second Emily restaurant in the West Village, which is housed in the space previously occupied by Blue Ribbon Bakery.

In addition to their signature pizzas, wings and the Emmy Burger on a pretzel bun, the Hylands will also serve a square pizza: a mash-up between a Detroit-style pizza and New York’s famous grandma pizza, with a thinner crust and a richer sauce.

If U can’t decide if it’s a burger or a pizza U want, go to Emily and have both.
