The just-opened Tea Lounge at Dukes Dubai is bringing its British-ness to life with a classic afternoon tea.

Adding a touch of authenticity to the elegant ritual, The Tea Lounge offers a civilised setting with its bright, modern interiors featuring feminine colours and sculptural gold metalwork, complemented by fittingly formal white-glove service. 

Expect most of the usual suspects in the Afternoon Tea offering, including cucumber sandwiches, assorted pastries, and freshly baked scones with clotted cream and preserves, served on a tiered tray, alongside premium Tchaba teas from the tea sommelier's trolley. And if you want to make a celebration of it, you can also opt for tea with bubbly. The X factor? It's all served in bespoke china Lounge custom designed for the lounge by British brand William Edwards. 

Scone lovers can rejoice as the afternoon tea service is available from midday to 6 pm. The London Tea is priced at AED 170, and the Palm Tea is AED 320, including a glass of Taittinger Brut NV. There are some really nice afternoon teas in Dubai, but this one will be hard to beat! 

The lounge is open for breakfast too, with a special ladies-only Duchess breakfast on offer.
