Harry’s Dolce Vita

Richard Caring's restaurant version of his Mayfair-based Harry’s Bar members club in Knightsbridge.

The restaurant is a variant of his Harry's Bar members club in London's Mayfair, on the site which formerly housed Cafe Rouge - opposite Harrods department store. Expect a slick, upmarket all-day dining Italian restaurant offering a menu featuring unfussy Italian classics from Chef Diego Cardoso (previously at Murano) and designed to transport guests back to the restaurants and bars of post-war 1950s and 1960s Italy.

Harry's Bar was founded in 1979 by Mark Birley, the socialite and founder of Annabel's and James Sherwood, the former owner of the Orient-Express group. Its current owner, Richard Caring, snapped up the coveted Birley Group (which also includes Annabel’s and Mark's Club) is also behind the ever-expanding Ivy Collection. Known as one of the most elegant and sophisticated private members' clubs in London - Harry’s Bar is "famed worldwide for both the beauty of its décor and the quality of its food". The private members club (with just one restaurant and one private room) specialises in exquisite Northern Italian cuisine.  The club is stunningly decorated with striking Fortuny fabric, Peter Arno cartoons, Murano glassware and bespoke brass table lamps.
