Martina Pizzeria

Danny Meyer’s newest opening on Third Avenue is a fast-paced, casual spinoff from Marta, aiming to deliver up to 90 pizzas an hour.

Located on the corner of East 11th Street and Third Avenue, in the heart of the East Village, Martina Pizzeria is a Roman-inspired pizzeria helmed by Executive Chef Nick Anderer.

Serving eight different types of pizza, each 10-inches and “never perfectly round”, U can choose classics like a Margherita or Quatro Formaggi or go for something a bit heartier like the Salsiccia with pork sausage, mushrooms, mozzarella and pecorino.

Once U’ve ordered at the counter, Ur pizza will be ready in under 10 minutes. While U wait, nibbble on supplì, Rome’s answer to Sicily’s arancini, potato crocchette, or some chicken meatballs. And did we mention the Champagne fridge? It’s stocked with a selection of half-bottles and there’s also Cappelletti Spritz on tap.

Finish off with a fior di latte soft serve with candied hazelnuts and chocolate-amaro sauce and U will walk away happy and satisfied without spending a fortune.
