A two-level space, with a long, ornate metal-clad bar, plus bench seating and hi-top tables, Atwood takes its cocktail list seriously, with specialties including the Bolivian Airmail: lime, honey and Bolivian brandy; the Last Word: lime, green chartreuse, maraschino and gin and the Smoky Mountain: small batch bourbon, Benedictine, bitters and sage.
There’s also a list of carefully selected craft beers from local New York breweries and wines by the glass or bottle.
To mop up the carefully-crafted drinks, there’s a food menu for both dinner and late night snacks, including ‘toasts’ – flatbreads topped with chorizo, goats cheese and honey, avocado and roasted aubergine; a three-squash salad, boneless pork spare ribs with XO barbecue glaze; crispy chicken with honey and fingerling potatoes, and macaroni cheese made with sweet potatoes.
