Atticus

A Southern US-style eatery from Iqbal Wahhab, who is also behind The Cinnamon Club in Westminster and Roast in Borough Market.

The all-day restaurant (set to become a chain) is to specialise in “soul food”, with Southern US staples such as barbecued meats, fried chicken, pork ribs, stews and macaroni. Atticus (which was originally slated to open last year) is named after Atticus Finch, a character in the Pulitzer Prize winning novel To Kill A Mockingbird by American novelist Harper Lee - a classic of modern American literature - and inspired by a trip to the American South in 2015.
