Jewel

Silver Lake’s dining scene just got even healthier, with the opening of Jewel, a plant-based restaurant, where the health-conscious can eat their heart out.

Jewel is a joint-venture from partners Jasmine and Sharky Shimoda, with chef Jasmine Shimoda (ex The Springs wellness sanctuary in the Arts District) heading the kitchen.

While the menu isn’t strictly vegan or vegetarian, it’s primarily plant-based featuring seasonal vegetables, sea vegetables, and fruits as well as grains and legumes, superfoods, spices, nut butters and cheeses.
