The city's most delicious hidden gem and award winning contemporary Asian restaurant.

This tiny, funky (unlicensed) eatery is tucked away in Jumeirah Fishing Harbour - founded by chef Akmal Anuar - who was previously at the much-lauded Iggy's in Singapore. Anuar turns out innovative yet unpretentious and unfussy Asian-influenced small plates - spanning dishes from king crab salad to marinated lamb ribs to matcha chocolate with tea crumbs and milk foam. A perfect antidote to Dubai's expensive, overblown eateries - expect a super casual atmosphere with chilled music. Best to try and nab one of the outside tables overlooking the marina.

An Asian-inspired gourmet fix

Favourite Table

Foodies should pull up a seat at the interactive, ultra-exclusive chef's counter - where Akmal himself puts together a degustation menu of the most special ingredients at his disposal on the day; expect dishes such as torched blue fin nigiri topped with Sturia Caviar, and Yokozuna - Japanese eggplant tempura with sea urchin and blue fin tuna. AED 450 per person.

Signature Dishes

Asparagus tempura, char-grilled octopus drizzled with gremolata, and spicy beef tartare on sourdough toast, along with novelty dishes like charcoal fry - squid ink tempura-fried aubergine served with real chunks of charcoal.
