Art Night 2018

The Art Night 2018 trail runs from the South Bank to Battersea Power Station, with artworks and pop up performances in over fifty locations.

Art Night is London’s largest free contemporary arts festival. This year, Art Night heads south of the river for the first time: the 2018 trail takes in the Thames riverbank between the South Bank and Battersea Power Station, via Vauxhall and Nine Elms, taking place in iconic and off-the-beaten-track venues.

Explore the Saturday trail from 6pm until 6am; each venue or site is within walking distance of the next event on the trail and there is step free access to all venues in the Hayward Gallery-curated programme - presented in a variety of spaces - both indoor and outdoors, from public parks and gardens, historic buildings and unusual sites.

Ralph Rugoff and the Hayward Gallery team have curated projects by 12 internationally renowned artists to coincide with the institution's 50th anniversary with more than 50 cultural institutions and local venues included in this year’s Art Night Open programme, with independent initiatives, curators and artists activating the 2018 trail with contemporary art; ranging from immersive multimedia installations and virtual reality to interactive experiences, special screenings and live music.
