Miami Spice Is Here

U have been waiting for this all summer.

The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) has kick-off the 17th year of its highly anticipated Miami Spice Restaurant Program, which brings local and visiting foodies exclusive dining discounts.

From August 1 through September 30, fine dining restaurants will offer three-course prix-fixe Miami Spice menus at reduced prices ($23 per person for lunch and brunch / $39 per person for dinner) in some of the destination’s most popular and vibrant neighborhoods – Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Brickell, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Doral, Downtown Miami, South Miami, Sunny Isles, and Wynwood.

Prices include an appetizer, entrée and dessert; tax, tip, libations and service charges are additional.

With over 240 participants this year, restaurants and chefs are going above and beyond with their offerings.

Let's see how many U can visit this year. Here are a few of our favorites:

Fi'lia - Located inside the SLS Brickell, Michael Schwartz's Italian eatery has plenty of options including a beef carpaccio appetizer and the best truffle pizza in town. If U are craving pasta, try the homemade cannellini ragu.

Bazaar Mar by José Andrés  - Also located at SLS Brickell, this seafood mecca has several intriuging selections like the Marinated ‘Ferran Adria’ Liquid Olives; the famous California Funnel Cake (seaweed funnel cake, avocado, blue crab, Tobiko mayo and cucumber); Po Boy José! (fried baby squid, pelayo, steamed brioche bun, aioli); and Skirt Steak (oak-fire grilled, rosemary mustard sauce).

Bourbon Steak - The iconic Turnberry Isle is home to this swanky steakhouse. Try the cobia crudo or crispy pork belly appetizers before enjoying a NY strip or Branzino filet.

Corsair Kitchen & Bar - A more casual option at Turnberry, this is American comfort food at its best. Pair the lobster salad with avocado, mango and a lemon herb vingairette with the homemade campanelle with summer vegetables and kale pesto.

Chotto Matte - This new London import on Miami Beach is the place to indulge in the fresh and flavorful Nikkei cuisine. The branzino ceviche and the shrimp spring roll were standout items.
