A South Florida outpost of chef Justin Smillie's smash-hit New York City restaurant.

The brainchild of restaurant impresario Stephen Starr and chef Justin Smillie, the duo behind the original Upland in New York and SoHo hot spot Le Coucou. Upland introduces Smillie’s California-inspired and approachable culinary philosophy to Miami Beach’s chic South of Fifth neighborhood. 

The menu is inspired by Smillie's travels around the world, particularly in Japan, Italy and France as well as staples from the New York branch - such as the smoked branzino and the coal roasted short rib alongside new dishes exclusive to this outpost such as rainbow carrots and the roasted salmon with grapefruit and pickled beets. Expect a neighborhood feel with industrial-style yet warm interiors by Starr - best known for New York cult spots like Buddakan and Morimoto.
