The family-run enoteca churns out (since 1991) sandwiches well worth the wait and a must-try when visiting Florence. The epic sandwiches -filled to the brim - are made on schiacciata, a Tuscan flatbread, and stuffed with local ingredients such as mozzarella and prosciutto. Order the Favolosa, the all-time best seller made with sbriciolona, the typical Florentine salami, pecorino cheese cream; artichoke cream, and spicy eggplants. This pop-up (June 13 to July 13), in Greenwich Village, is the first time the Florentine institution has been abroad.
