My Perfect Day: Rob Ceravolo

Urbanologist and high-flying entrepreneur Rob Ceravolo shares his perfect Miami day.

How do you start your day?

Mornings are my favorite time, there are no distractions. I start my day early, enjoying a double espresso while catching up on emails and planning my day, then I train for an hour.

Leisurely lunch places go to?

I love having meetings over lunch. Solid partnerships are formed while breaking bread and enjoying a drink together. Seaspice is a great outdoor spot to enjoy a view of the Miami River while splitting some small plates and cocktails.

Favourite way to pass the time in Miami?

Whenever I have some time to kill between meetings or just need to get away from the office, I’ll head down to the Miami Seaplane Base on Watson Island and set up my laptop for an awesome office view. Another great spot to pass the time is the Standard Hotel, it has a really cool bar and view.

Favourite Miami landmarks, and why?

I may be biased, but Miami’s City Hall on Dinner Key is such a cool landmark. It’s located in the old Pan Am terminal, which served as the first continental naval air station and then became the base for Pan Am’s flying boats in the ‘30s and ‘40s.

Favourite South Florida beach?

Two great beaches I love are Rickenbacker Causeway’s dog beach, Hobie Island Beach Park, (because my girl Maia loves to swim!) and Crandon Park to get some kiteboarding in when the winds are up.

Favourite Birds-Eye-View?

Nothing compares to seeing downtown Miami from a seaplane!

Favourite dining destinations, and why?

If I feel like dressing up, the 1 Rooftop at 1 Hotel South Beach has great food and live music – you can dance next to your table. For a more chill night, Lagniappe in Wynwood has a really cool vibe with a different band every night. Depending on who is playing, you might think you’re in New Orleans or a sidewalk café in Paris.
