Crawfish Boil Mondays at Plaquemine Lock

This summer, one of Louisiana’s most well loved traditions comes to a corner of London’s Islington.

Plaquemine Lock, the Angel pub serving Creole and Cajun cooking, is celebrating crawfish season with a traditional New Orleans-style crawfish boil. Hosted every Monday evening, until 7th of October from 7.30pm, enjoy a typical Louisiana feast.

Tickets are priced from £30 per person - if booked in advance, and includes a starter, welcome drink and of course, an abundant crawfish boil. The crawfish are served in their shells, so best get stuck in and shuck the critters - served alongside boiled potatoes, Andouille sausage and corn on the cob. Sides include potato salad, Cajun-style slaw and a lemon and lettuce dressing. To wash it all down, Plaquemine Lock’s well-stocked bar serves a wide selection of American beers, ales and IPAs, and a full menu of Southern inspired cocktails.
