FieldTrip by JJ Johnson

A fast-casual, counter-service restaurant serving up grain bowls taking inspiration from around the world.

Penned as a community-based dining "experience that celebrates culture through the shared experience of rice." FieldTrip is decidedly more casual than James Beard Award semifinalist Johnson’s other ventures (such as Henry at Life Hotel in Midtown), aiming to make his global fare accessible and affordable, offering healthy, zesty bowls. The menu features five varieties of the grain from around the world, each paired with a specific sauce-drenched protein, such as salmon with China Black Rice served with pineapple and piri piri and crispy chicken in a barbecue sauce paired with Carolina Gold rice - alongside a few side dishes (yucca puffs & crab pockets).

Open Wednesday through Sunday, 11:30am to 10pm.
