This little piggy went and got some wheels, for a food truck (a revamped ambulance) experience like you've never tasted before. Pig-out on the ultimate bacon sarnie for which Le Swine uses a homemade milk and onion bap, bacon butter, old fashioned middle bacon, fried duck egg (and offers a choice of their own swine tomato sauce or mushroom ketchup), all for a very affordable fiver! James Packman is in the driving seat for this idea, previously part of Michelin-starred Bruno Loubet's opening brigade at Bistrot Bruno Loubet. Also try the 'Swine Burger' (at £7 with gammon patty, fried duck egg and swine apple chutney).
All about 'slow food, fast' - founded by two London chefs (including aclaimed chef Jan Tanaka - perviously of Pearl Restaurant and now of The Ninth) who are committed to making gourmet food really accessible. Originally devised as bistro-style take-away meals (using only produce sourced directly from sustainable and organic UK farms and producers) for busy Londoners, the Airstream kitchens (across London) also serve epicurean breakfasts and, the menus (of fresh seasonal street food) becomes the basis for a new restaurant for gourmands on the go! Watch this space.
Michelin-starred chef and restaurateur Pascal Aussignac (behind the accalimed Club Gascon and the much missed Le Cercle) is also getting in on the act with a street food pop-up (at Hawker House). Duck n' Roll is a celebration of "duck" and sitting alongside his award-winning dishes such as the Marmite Royale & Soldiers the menu features a host of creations including a Hot Duck Pastrami Roll and a Cornetto of Mussel “Popcorn” with Black Aioli. New specials are added each weekend, including “Pop-cod” and crackling slow cooked duck egg with truffle vinaigrette.
