While not technically in the village of Portofino, this restaurant in nearby Santa Margherita deserves to be on our list. Just a 10-minute drive along the coast, Trattoria dei Pescatori is one of the oldest restaurants in the area. Since 1910, it has been serving traditional Ligurian cuisine that’s simple yet wholesome – fresh seafood caught daily by local fishermen, homemade pastas and delicious desserts.
Stepping into the restaurant is like going back in time – original antiques and memorabilia from past decades make for nostalgic decorations, while a jukebox playing 60s and 70s records sets the scene. If you’re looking for something a little different, this hospitable restaurant is certainly worth the drive.
