Paloma at Hotel Hendricks

A pan-Latin spot from the chef behind Scampi in the stylish Hotel Hendricks.

The noted NYC chef (also behind Scampi and the Spaniard) draws inspiration for his electic menus from childhood experiences in his grandmother’s kitchen in the Mexican border town of Brownsville, Texas. Though Calapa serves up sophisticated Latin-influenced cuisine within Hendricks’ stylish setting just off Bryant Park, there's a handful of Mexican dishes, like tuna tostadas with chipotle aioli and four tacos as well a ribeye taquiza.

The dining room takes inspiration from the dynamic menu and features an eclectic mix of colors and textures - there's also an outdoor space with table seating and a large Aztec-inspired mural.

Make sure to head to the Hendricks Rooftop bar, which spans the 26th floor, clad with a whimsical décor and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame views of Manhattan. Set against the backdrop of another mural, an outdoor rooftop deck is accessible via a small staircase.
