The Terrace by BlackTail

Critically-acclaimed tiki spot BlackTail has added a Hemingway inspired pop-up outpost in Battery Park.

The Cuban-inspired cantina was inspired by the American bars that sprang up in Havana during US Prohibition. It opened in August 2016 by cocktail aficionados Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry, the team behind The Dead Rabbit. This nearby pop-up extension (at Pier A) is built from shipping containers and been inspired by writer Ernest Hemingway's beloved fishing boat, Pilar - which would eventually inspire him to write “Old Man in the Sea” - and also one of his favorite Cuban haunts - La Terraza. Expect classic Cuban cocktails and authentic dishes such as their Cuban sandwiches.
