Hirst first exhibited ‘Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable’ in Venice’s Punta della Dogana and Palazzo Grassi museums in 2017. Ten years in the making, it is Hirst’s most ambitious and complex project to date. Exceptional in scale and scope, ‘Treasures’ tells the story of the ancient wreck of the largest ship of its day, the ‘Unbelievable’, and presents some of its cargo after excavation. A number of the sculptures are shown still encrusted in coral, while others are museum copies that reimagine the works in their original forms. Thirteen sculptures from this show-stopping series are on display until November 8. A unique experience to view these sculptures in incredible surroundings.
