Inspired by the UK’s first waste-free restaurant, Silo, and is slated to be the first truly sustainable, zero-waste restaurant in New York and possibly in all of America. The uncomplicated food program is inspired by conservas (canned seafood) tapas bars popular in Portugal and Barcelona - with a menu that features oysters, tinned fish, antipasti and local cheese - with suppliers pledged to use packaging materials that can be composted or recycled. Rhodora’s beverage program highlights not only natural wine producers, but also mission-driven beverage partners. All served up in an intimate and casual environment, which formerly housed the wood-fired restaurant Metta.
