The Tavern by WS

A slick and stylish contemporary, wine-centric American brasserie in New York's newest neighborhood, Hudson Yards.

A venture between restaurateur and developer Kenneth A. Himmel and Wine Spectator Publisher Marvin R. Shanken - located at the heart of Hudson Yards with views of Thomas Heatherwick’s Vessel, The Shed, and the Hudson River.

Designed by acclaimed architecture and design firm Rockwell Group, The Tavern is an inviting dining space with a classic brasserie feel - featuring a custom-designed mural, along with a rare collection of original French Belle Epoque posters from The Wine Spectator Collection.

Executive Chef Eli Kaimeh, formerly of Per Se and Gramercy Tavern serves up market-driven dishes offering innovative takes on American classics. Think chopped salad, beef tartare, posh pork and beans, steak-frites, herb-crusted sea bass, rotisserie chicken and a chocolate-orange creamsicle dessert.

Shanken has worked alongside master sommelier Michaël Engelmann (formerly with The Modern), to create the elaborate wine list - with one of the most dynamic wines-by-the-glass lists in the city.
