Runway Ice Rink at TWA Hotel

A one-of-a-kind ice skating experience on a custom 56-by-44-foot Runway Rink.

Take a spin on the tarmac around the hotel's 1958 Lockheed Constellation Connie airplane. The only on-airport hotel at JFK, TWA Hotel opened earlier this year in the former, Eero Saarinen-designed TWA terminal, which was landmarked in 1994.

The 56-by-44-foot Runway Rink (open from November 30) is made with 3,500 gallons of New York City tap water and surrounds the hotel’s vintage airplane-turned-cocktail lounge.

And if gliding on ice isn’t a festive enough, there are also skating shows inspired by the plane’s history. While hanging rink-side, you'll find frosty beers, Sno-Caps candy and other snacks and beverages available for purchase.

Admission costs from $10.
