A progressive wood-fired Korean restaurant from Jungsik alum Hoyoung Kim.

Hoyoung Kim, a former Executive Chef at two Michelin-starred Jungsik - a pioneer of modern Korean fine dining, has teamed up Hand Hospitality - one of New York’s hottest restaurant groups - also behind Atoboy, Atomix, Her Name Is Han and others - to open this Korean restaurant featuring wood-fired cooking. 

Expect a seasonal tasting menu of six-courses ($95) of new Korean cuisine, featuring wood-fired items such as raw mackerel, vegetables with truffles and duck with seasonal additions including King Crab, suckling pig and Carabineros prawns. Snacks are served at the six-seat bar.

The intimate room - decked out with natural and raw materials - houses an open kitchen and a communal table giving diners a front ro seat to all the action. The name Jua, means "joy" and named after chef Kim's first born daughter.
