Our Favourite London Dining Haunts by Double Dutch

Twin sisters Joyce & Raissa de Haas, founders of the luxury tonic company Double Dutch, double down and share their favourite female-led dining destinations.

Treadwells

Chef Patron, Chantelle Nicholson, is a magician in the kitchen. Treadwells is a great place to settle in for a lovely long lunch and pass the time savouring some of the beautiful dishes and inspired cocktails. Though we aren’t vegan, we can’t resist some of the dishes on their delicious ‘Vegwells’ plant-based tasting menu. Like us, they believe that just because it’s vegan, doesn’t mean that you should compromise on taste!

Murano

Our ‘London List’ wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Angela Hartnett’s Michelin Starred restaurant. Treating ourselves to a stand-out meal at Murano is one of our guilty pleasures – the attention to detail that Angela and her team have when they are planning their menu is something that we love as it resonates with the way we pair our flavours as well. It doesn’t hurt that our Double Dutch mixers and tonics are on the menu either!

Jikoni

One of our favourite spots in Marylebone is Jikoni. It’s got a great family feel and is blissfully informal while being true to its Kenyan and Indian roots. Chef Ravinder Bhogal is an inspiration in how she surprises the palette, and this down-to-earth restaurant is perfect for when you just want hearty and flavourful food.

Darjeeling Express

Darjeeling Express is definitely somewhere to visit in London. We love Indian cuisine and Asma Khan is a woman to watch! We first heard of her through the Netflix ‘Chef’s Table’ series, and we love her passion for food and her drive to push women forward the food business. If you’re ever in Carnaby, make sure you stop by and you won’t be disappointed! Pictured.

Hemsley + Hemsley at Selfridges

The wholesome and healthy food at Hemsley + Hemsley is perfect for when you want something that’s full of flavour and goodness. We particularly love that all the ingredients in their drinks are organic as the fresher your ingredients are, the better. Not only is their food temptingly good, but you don’t have to feel guilty either! What’s not to love?

Established by London-based Dutch twins, Raissa and Joyce De Haas, the award-winning Double Dutch offer a range of 100% natural mixers and tonic waters that are specifically developed to drink with premium spirits.
