Brat's Whyte Rushen at Mortimer House

Fresh from the kitchen at Michelin starred Brat, Whyte Rushen is “refining street food” this Augus, in Mortimer House’s home-style Kitchen Table.

Hyped underground chef Whyte Rushen - formerly at Brat, Scully St James and Kerridge’s Bar & Grill - is also behind the sell-out guerrilla pop-up Whyte Rushen Burger. Rushen is influenced by chicken shops and off-licences as much as his Michelin-starred background, and his dishes are often fuelled by childhood nostalgia and memories.

Rushen is bringing his signature street food with an elevated, refined edge to Mortimer House; his playful menu begins with oysters topped with Pickled Onion Monster Munch and a dish named Stamford Hill Estate, which features wagyu meatballs, brioche, burger sauce, gherkin ketchup and a side of duck fat fries. The evening ends with Off License - a dessert of flambe Basque cheesecake, crème fraiche, poached fruit and crunchies.
