Long Chim

The world’s most lauded Thai chef, David Thompson is bringing his Long Chim casual Thai concept restaurant to London, for a short residency.

The celebrated chef is considered by many to be the world’s leading authority on Thai cuisine. Thompson created Long Chim in Singapore as a restaurant reflecting his earliest influences and showcasing the spices and diversity of Thai street food. The restaurant has since expanded to Sydney and Perth. Located on Rupert Street, Long Chim takes-over the ground floor of Hovarda and serves a menu of 'authentic and accessible' dishes inspired by the food stalls and markets of modern Bangkok.

Chef Patipan ‘Pae’ Jipromma, currently head chef at Thompson’s Michelin-starred Aksorn restaurant in Bangkok, leads the kitchen team throughout the residency which runs into early 2025. The space has been overhauled and done up in Thai-style street art; music mimics the stalls and stands of Bangkok night markets. Expect a populist yet authentic take on Thai food.
