Mokyo

An affordable hot spot for Korean small plates accented with South American and Spanish influences.

Kyungmin Hyun, a South Korean-born chef known as Kay, has followed up her Asian-style tapas restaurant, Thursday Kitchen, with this similar - but slightly more formal - spot nearby. The globetrotting array of small plates (such as ceviche, lobster roll, beef tartare and duck fried rice) at Mokyo reflects a refined approach that she developed while cooking for the likes of Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Nobu Matsuhisa but done through the lens of Korean cooking (and seasoning).
