It feels like a mid-20th century grand Italian fine dining establishment. They have paid impeccable attention to detail from the Zac Posen designed waiter uniforms to the flooring, suitably inspired by The Godfather. There are white tablecloths and a tiny bar in the corner where a charming yet discreet bartender will serve you champagne or a cocktail.
But it's the food that has won it true fans. Traditional dishes such as linguini vongole, mixed-grill cacciatore, lobster fra diavola, and veal parmesan are invigorated with new life.
The far back corner booth.
Spicy rigatoni vodka - pasta with melted onions and umami-packed, ripe tomatoes.
Stinger - brandy, mint, maple. Gibson - gin, rosemary, onion.
