With Valentine’s Day celebrations limited to the confines of our own homes here our recommendations of how best to celebrate Valentine's Day at Home.

Valentine’s Menu from Sam's Riverside

Sam Harrison and his Head Chef Ashley Tinoco have devised an indulgent menu for two, bringing a taste of Sam’s Riverside to your door. The menu is available over the weekend, from 12th - 14th of February. Kicking off with an amuse bouche, the five-course menu costs £110 and includes a main course of beef Wellington and boulangère potatoes (minimal cooking required), as well as a dessert and cheese course. A separate à la carte selection includes Sam’s Seafood Platter, and a dozen oysters (to be delivered unopened, with shallot vinegar, lemon, and an oyster knife for shucking). 

Valentine’s Day at Hide 

Celebrate Valentine’s day with Ollie Dabbous’ indulgent and decadently romantic set menu available from Thursday 11th until Sunday 14th February. The Michelin star five course menu is priced at £150 and includes the following dishes: tartare of red prawns, winter citrus & fennel; Chateau d’ Yquem & cave-aged cheese fondue served with black truffle brioche; fresh pasta with lobster, cuttlefish, basil & artichoke barbecued glazed wagyu beef, tempura spring onions, black garlic & toasted sesame and  e-bottled cocktails of your choice, Park Chinois chopstick holders and a calligraphy notecard are also included. 

Valentine’s Banquet Box by Omer Mayfair

Created by GBM finalist and Executive Chef, Kerth Gumbs, Ormer Mayfair’s Valentine’s Banquet Box (£159 for two, ex. delivery) features an elevated four-course meal delivered direct to your door. Your romantic feast includes a côte de boeuf (to share) with sides of aged beef ragout, foie gras, truffled wild mushrooms, caramelised shallots and triple cooked chips, before rounding off with Ormer’s signature apple crumble, and handmade chocolates. Delivery is available from 12pm – 7.30pm on 11th February – 14th February, and orders must be placed at least 48 hours’ in advance.

Love Chinois at Home

Available on 13th and 14th February, the special Love Chinois at Home Valentine’s menu for two (£195) includes impeccably prepared Chinese dishes from Executive Chef Lee Che Liang - dishes include: crispy chilli chicken with Szechuan peppers; Cantonese roast duck with champagne and orange sauce; Scottish 35-day aged rib-eye with black pepper; and Madagascar Organic prawn with young coconut, okra and tamarind. Dinner is made complete with a stunning rose-inspired Valentine’s dessert. Two pre-bottled cocktails of your choice, Park Chinois chopstick holders and a calligraphy notecard are also included. Smokestak 

East London’s barbecue restaurant are firing up the wood-fired smoker for Valentine’s Day and offering a DIY meal kit (from £75), for nationwide delivery on Friday 12th February. The box - for two - features rhubarb fizz cocktails to start, followed by salt baked beetroot, goat cheese, toasted hazelnuts; plenty of 15 hour beef brisket with pickled red chilli, pulled pork with mustard barbecue sauce and pickled cucumber. Sides include jacket potatoes with mustard rarebit and ginger and green chilli slaw. To finish, there's their cult favourite sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel. For those looking for something a little extra, a premium box  includes all of the above plus smoked cod roe with hand-pressed corn tortillas; purple sprouting broccoli with salsa rossa and a bottle of Gran Cerdo Tinto Rioja. 

Musette by Tom Aikens

Acclaimed British chef Tom Aikens has put together a box of his most-celebrated dishes to whip up at home, just in time for Valentine’s Day. The Musette by Tom Aikens kits bring a taste of true fine dining to your home - with dishes influenced by Tom's culinary career to date. For £70 (feeds two), order a sharing menu of seven-hour shoulder of lamb with sides of spring onion mash, balsamic onions & French beans with confit garlic & shallots. Or there's a three-course menu of house-made ricotta with pickled wild mushrooms & mushroom vinaigrette, 24-hour braised short rib with miso & honey, served with individual onion tatins and salt baked beets. For dessert on both the menus, it's Tom's signature dark chocolate mousse with Chantilly & caramelised pistachio(available for one at £55, or two at £98. 

The Claridge’s Valentine’s Day Menu

What better way to mark Valentine’s, than with the iconic Claridge’s afternoon tea? Lovingly made finger sandwiches, scones accompanied by Cornish clotted cream and Marco Polo gelée, and of course, cakes, will be boxed, ribboned and whizzed round town to bring a little magic to London homes. Rhubarb and vanilla Religieuse, quince and apple streusel tart, passion fruit cheesecake and Valrhona dark chocolate brownie are all on the menu - priced at £50 per person. If you prefer to celebrate with supper, the glamour and romance of The Foyer is just an order away. The Valentine’s Day Menu (£200) is a feast for two, full of legendary Claridge’s dishes – choose from Claridge’s seafood cocktail or a ballotine of foie gras to start, either lobster wellington or beef wellington as a show stopping main, and finish with vanilla and rhubarb St. Honoré to share. This decadent delivery includes champagne or bottled negronis mixed in The Fumoir bar, and a single red rose for a final flourish.
