Katsuya NYC

A unique take on classic Japanese cuisine with sleek and modern design from master sushi chef Katsuya Uechi and designer Philippe Starck.

A prodigious pairing of master sushi chef Katsuya Uechi and world-renowned designer Philippe Starck - part of an ever expanding portfolio that includes sites across Los Angeles with additional locations in Las Vegas, Miami's South Beach, and Dubai. The stylish spot joins Casa Dani as the second dining restaurant within the Hudson Yards culinary destination, Citizens New York.

Designed by renowned architect and designer David Rockwell as a shrine to sushi and high-design - the gorgeous, minimalist design inspired by the rich traditions of Japanese craftsmanship and artistry - features a robata and sushi bar within a large dining room, an adjoining 100-seat rooftop terrace, and two private dining spaces that fit up to 10 and 44 guests.

Expect a unique and varied selection of inventive sushi and Robata grilled dishes. Katsuya's must-try signature dishes include the crispy rice with spicy tuna, the Kobe filet with foie gras and plum soy sauce, and the baked whitefish with truffle in a shell of salt. The restaurant also features an extensive list of premier sake - and a sake somelier.
