Kaiseki Room

An 18-seat kaiseki restaurant from renowned chef Isao Yamada, formerly of Tribeca’s Brushbroke.

At Kaiseki Room by Yamada - sister spot to the West Village’s subterranean Omakase Room by Mitsu - the highly respected chef is serving an 11-course, hyper seasonal kaiseki omakase menu - priced at around $300. The tasting menu includes Japanese delicacies like toro tartar, Hokkaido uni and the rare olive Wagyu.

Yamada is currently the only chef in NYC who has trained at an authentic kaiseki restaurant in Kyoto - which offers the highest caliber Japanese food through multiple elaborate courses - before his time at celebrated kaiseki restaurant Brushstroke.

Yamada’s dining room offers just 20 seats divided between a 12-seat counter with a few additional tables. The intimate restaurant features blonde wood that curves upward, meant to envelope the diner into a serene, cocoon-like environment.
